Well, we have been home for a few days now and it's amazing how quickly we fall back into our
old routines after being on vacation for 5 days. Besides loads of laundry and cleaning I have not been up to much. We had a great time in Punta Cana and the wedding was beautiful. I would have some pictures to share of our time down there if George had not "accidentally" erased them from our new camera! I am supposed to be getting some replacements from everyone which I am sure are just as great. We missed Tara a lot and are glad to be back to hear her contagious giggles and smiles. Here is a small group picture shot at the airport and a picture of Tara helping me unpack! (I had one of her helping me pack but....)
I also finally got a dresser for the many clothes that my 15 month old has acquired. (okay, mostly from my love of shopping and it's so fun to shop for girls! Cousin Audrey is going to have some cute clothes to add to her closet soon!) I have been busy arranging her room and putting away the things that she has outgrown including her toys. I find myself kind of sad that she is no longer a baby even though her father refuses to acknowledge that she is a toddler/little girl. Not that I am ready for number two yet because I also want to enjoy my time with her before adding a sibling to the mix. She will only be young once and she is already growing up so fast. I guess I just want to savor this time I do have with her. Unfortunately, whenever the next one does come, he/she will never have our undivided attention as Tara did/does. This is where family comes in to take the older one so the younger one can have some one on one time with mom and dad. I also want Tara to be old enough to help out, ya know, get me a diaper or burp cloth, or entertain him/her so I can shower!
Well, I am going to take advantage of what will probably be her only nap today since she got up late!

A Little Personality
Well, now that we are all recovered Tara is back in full swing! She was cracking me up this weekend with her new expressions and words. (She says turtle, tractor, and her own name now!) We spent all day together on Saturday because George attempted to go to the Red Bull air races. Somehow he ended up at the casino-never saw that one coming!!
We went to visit John, our nephew, in the hospital. Apparently, he has been quite accident prone the last couple of weeks. First, he fell down some stairs and then a week later he fell off while swinging. He ended up with a concussion and Beaumont kept him for a few days. We thought we could cheer him up with some Tigers apparel and a gift! He is a big sports fan like his parents! We love him and are glad that he is okay.
Later that night Tara and I just hung out for some girl time. We sang and danced and took some pictures using the remote for the camera. Yager tried to get in on the action too as you will see in the pictures. They are not the best pics of me but super cute of Tara so I will share them!
I am looking forward to spending the summer with my girl! (I am getting my hair done this Saturday so don't worry! Any suggestions??? please comment!)
Tara also loves to go with daddy whether he is mowing the lawn or riding on the golf cart! She is definitely daddy's little princess! I am sure it won't be long before she has her own motorized toys!
3 days to go! (2 if you don't include the zoo trip)
